A bit about why I do what I do:
I’ve always loved trying to preserve memories. As a kid, I kept every movie ticket, every photo, friends party invitiations, letters, wrappers… you get it!
Then I was given an old manual film camera for my 16th birthday. I was in love. I had always loved photos of the past, but suddenly I was able to now create images that were not just beautiful, but told stories. I saw photography as a way of documenting life, seeing beauty in everything and preserving those moments I wanted to remember, and I loved being able to do that with my camera. (As well I just loved the smell of film and being in the darkroom!)
So now that’s what this passion of photography has become for me. Taking photos that tell stories. More specifically, your stories. Photographing weddings and awesome families is where I have found myself and I couldn’t be happier! Weddings excite me – the anticipation, the families coming together, the romance. I love it and it never fails to amaze me what an awesome ‘job’ this is. I’m a Wedding Photographer in Newcastle, but will happily travel to whereever you have planned your exciting day. (I love to travel, and have been to Brisbane, Sydney, Tamworth and all over Newcastle/Hunter Valley for weddings) And just in case you were thinking, say, Bali or Europe…. My passport is ready

This blog is just as much about you as it is me. In fact, it’s all about you. This is where I like to show off my awesome clients and their loved ones, and believe you me, I’ve been blessed with some fantastic couples and families.

What a day! I have to start the letter like that because our wedding day was everything we could have hoped for and so much more. You were a significant part of the ‘so much more’ aspect because you really added to our special day in a way that we could not have foreseen.
Weddings are very personal affairs and it was delightful that you were able to slot right in and be a part of our day, without being obviously there or in the way. Instead, you managed to capture the magic of the many moments that fleeted between hugs and kisses, as well as the tears and smiles of joy from family and friends.
When you are the subject of the day, when it is all about you, it is difficult to take everything in and appreciate every detail. This is where you have really been wonderful because your photos show the little moments that we didn’t have time to absorb and enjoy at the time.
Above all, your photos captured the love and emotion we felt on the day. And for that, we will be forever grateful.
